The Leaper, from Dead Space 2. Somewhere between Dead Space 1 and 2 these guys got fast. Real fast. Aren't nearly as many in the second game but they seem way more lethal. I'll probably get another shot of this one later, lighting is not the best in this pic.

6 1/2 inches tall

Yeah, you're right. Somehow, they have gotten fast in the second one. That's why I shoot the glass which causes them to fly out into space

this is amazing! I love it. I want to make dead space necromorphs. Oh yeah, I forgot. I can't sculpt!

I was searching for Leaper images to use as reference for some DeliciousCinnamon fanart, and this image came up and immediately grabbed my attention. XD
I love the details of the ripped flesh and exposed tendons! Is it just me, or do the "bloody" parts have a different texture from the outer skin layer? I think there may even be a third texture for the protruding bones. In any case, he's fascinating to look at, and I bet even more so to actually touch.
The pose is great, too. He looks like he could spring at any moment. I believe it's the mark of a very talented artisan who can put so much life into a molded figure, and make something utterly static seem so dynamic.

I could gush about this all day, but I figure you have better things to do than read a long-winded, rambling comment. XD

This is probably the best comment I've received. Glad you noticed the differences in the various bits of the model. I do try to give the muscle, skin, and bones different feels to them either with textures and various glaze levels. And again, thanks for the comment.

Its a armature frame shaped like the skeleton of the figure. Don't have any images of the frames with me but I'll try to get a step by step set of pictures for the next necromorph model I do.
